Two times a year, Sephora holds a 10-20% off sale for their Beauty Insiders (their free loyalty reward membership system) – April and November. For April’s sale, the percent discount varies depending on your Beauty Insider status. According to my historic calculations, this year’s sale should be April 14-19th (3 weeks away) UDPATE: The sale runs April 7-13th for VIB Rouge with 15% off; April 8-13th for VIB with 15% off; and BIs April 8-12th (I am not 100% sure of the dates for BIs) with 10% off, so I wanted to share some of my personal wish list items, in addition to some must-tries. I hope my Sephora VIB Sale Ideas list helps you find a new favorite or two!
A brand new IMPRESSIVE lipstick collection, the Amuse Bouche line has 34 high-pigment shades to choose from – all in sleek packaging and completely made of food grade ingredients (as all Bite lip products are). If you haven’t yet tried a lipstick from Bite, this is the time. I have a sample size of the shade Radish and it is incredibly pigmented, long-lasting, creamy and just stunning.
Completely underrated mask for those who suffer from breakouts, I came across this PTR mask months ago and saw how great the reviews were and wondered why I hadn’t tried it before. I’m currently finishing up the Origins Out of Trouble mask (which has similar claims), but will be trying this one upon its completion.
I mentioned this Fresh mask in my Valentine’s Day Beauty Gift Guide, but I can’t stop raving about it. I am DEFINITELY picking this one up during the sale because it’s awesome. For me, it tightens up my pores overnight while also deeply hydrating in a non-greasy way. I don’t know how this would work on more mature skin from a firming standpoint, but for those with larger pores, get yourself a sample of this ASAP so you can take advantage of the sale for the full size.
Another definite buy for me, I’ve been testing a few foundations lately in preparation for the sale and Lingerie de Peau has been one of them. The price tag is basically insane, but the impeccable reviews don’t lie – check Nordstrom and other sites – this foundation is hard to beat and it’s because of the great coverage (medium/buildable), natural finish and ability to wear all.day.long without my oily face shining through. I think this foundation would be great on all skin types and all ages – which rarely happens.
Color correcting is a huge trend right now and this palette not only gives you all the color correcting shades you would need (greens, lilacs, salmon/orange, yellow), but also includes some versatile varying concealer shades to complement the color correcting. They also made a darker version for deeper skin tones. A great value for a decent formula.
I mean, it’s no shocker to my faithful readers that I’m in love with this contour palette (see here). Anytime I need to look flawless (or when I need to look like I’ve lost a couple of pounds), I break this bad boy out. I use the entire palette as contour/highlight and bronzer… but it also doubles as every day eyeshadow. So easy to use and a best-buy-of-the-year for me.
I love my Urban Decay Naked Skin liquid foundation, but I recently swatched the powder foundation and was blown away. It’s super pigmented yet creamy and when I checked online, I found so many great reviews. Seems like it would be awesome as a standalone powder foundation for quick makeup days, or as a boost of coverage over liquid/cream foundation to set it in place.
What a great gift idea and amazing value for this little set! Pick it up for yourself or save it for Mother’s Day (or a friend’s birthday… graduation… etc.). It’s a no brainer.
As mentioned here, drybar Triple Sec is a go-to/must-have in my hair product arsenal. Whether it’s for a boost of volume when I wear my hair straight, or to give my wand-created waves some texture to doubling as a dry shampoo, this spray does it all. Plus, is smells divine.
Another one of my tester foundations recently, Luminous Silk is a cult favorite of many – particularly brides – for its skin-like radiant finish and extremely vast shade selection. It reminds me a lot of my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation’s more expensive yet longer-wearing counterpart. This is one of those products you really need to pick up during a sale because of the price, so take advantage!
What do you plan on picking up from the sale? Restocking some old favorites or trying something new… let me know in the comments.
Happy sale shopping,
-Steffanie
