If someone told me two years ago that I’d be raving about a moisturizing face mask, I’d probably punch them square in the face. I’ve always struggled with oily/breakout prone/sensitive/highly reactive skin. As I have learned, much of my struggles with my skin is solved by simply keeping it hydrated and my skin care very simple. I find I break out less and my hyperpigmentation even seems to lessen just by having moisture in my skin. Plus, it definitely makes applying makeup way more fun! Let’s check out what makes this product a must-try in my GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment Review…
The reason I’m not sitting here telling you to slap a tube of Aquaphor on your face (which I’ve been known to do) is because this GlamGlow ThirstyMud mask is so much more. I wake up feeling like a Victoria’s Secret Angel after using this stuff.
DUPE ALERT: Like Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Mask, but hate the smell (like I do)? Then you certainly need to give this a try. Also, the Origin’s one seemed to break me out ever so slightly. ThirstyMud is just amazing.
I have tried two of the other GlamGlow products with sub par results – the black jar actually destroyed my face. It was just too strong. The white jar was ok, but I didn’t feel like anything miraculous was happening for the steep $69 price tag. ThirstyMud, however, is a game changer.
From the GlamGlow website, “THIRSTYMUD™ hydrates, moisturizes, restores, replenishes and calms the skin. Designed for Men & Women of All Ages & All Skin Types, Even After Shaving. New Super Technologies in THIRSTYMUD™ will leave you with Hydrated Heart Pounding Glowing Skin.” Yes, yes and yes.
First, it smells like happiness. It’s a very light, tropical/coconut/pineapple sunblock sort of scent.
Second, you feel it working. As soon as I apply it, I feel a very mild tingle for a good hour. It makes me think it’s doing something other than just sitting on my skin. It gives a beautiful glow, too. Like you just went for a run or did a Bikram yoga class. Beautiful.
Lastly, you see it works. I wear a thin layer of this mask over night and wake up with the smoothest, baby-soft skin ever. My skin is noticeably calmer, my pores look smaller and my face is just so thankful. The results seem to last anywhere from 3-6 days. I try to do this mask once a week on Saturday or Sunday nights.
I’ve read that some people use this as their nightly moisturizer. I wouldn’t recommend that, but I can see why they would want to do so! I simply love this stuff. After all the holiday family stress, pick yourself up a tub of this and just relax this weekend.
Hope Santa was good to everyone today!
