Charlotte Tilbury may be my fairy Godmother. She’s a woman who believes in never leaving the house without makeup on, always making sure you look (and therefore, feel) your best and has 20+ years of experience as a professional makeup artist for celebs. Dream. Job. Yes. Oh wait, she even has a ‘bedtime makeup routine.’
She has had a super successful makeup line over the pond in the UK for awhile, but recently launched her products in the US. She’s currently exclusive to Nordstrom, but I ordered my products from Beautylish.com. I got $10 off my first order using this website.
*Warning: it’s not cheap. But I believe in Charlotte and her brand, so I definitely want to try more items!*
To start, I picked up her super popular lipstick in shade – wait for it – Bitch Perfect. I die. I also got the famous Lip Cheat lip pencil in Pillowtalk.
LIP CHEAT PILLOWTALK Re-Shape & Re-Size Lip Liner // This lip pencil is known for its long-wear and ability to slightly overdraw your lip line (while staying put), therefore giving the illusion of a plumper lip. The shade is a beautiful rose-nude and enhances my natural lip color in the prettiest way. It claims to be waterproof and I can attest to its abilities of not moving for a good 6+ hours.
K.I.S.S.I.N.G BITCH PERFECT Lipstick // This is certainly the longest-wearing lipstick I’ve ever tried (not counting those lip stains that you apply a balm over… those just remind me too much of my old high school theatre performance makeup). Its super pigmented and works fabulously with the PILLOWTALK pencil. It’s a soft peachy-pink-nude shade and compliments my warmer/olive skin tone nicely. However, I think this shade would look just as pretty on fair-skinned folks, as well. I also really appreciate that this lipstick has no noticeable taste or smell.
My overall opinion on these products is two-thumbs up! High pigmentation, long-wear time, and beautiful packaging make this a makeup lover’s dream. Most of Charlotte’s lipsticks and liners are universally flattering shades, so if peachy nudes aren’t your thing, she has a few deeper shades, too. Next time you’re in Nordstrom, definitely check out her products. I’m eyeing a couple of her eyeshadow quads for my next purchase…
Have you tried any of her products? What are your favorites?
