Best-of the Week: YouTube Makeup Videos

I’m starting a new series this year on Brighter, Darling:  best-of the week, YouTube makeup videos.

It’ll be published every Friday, just in time to let you zone out from work/class/life before the weekend officially starts. Best-of the week will include a round-up of my top three favorite YouTube makeup videos I’ve watched – sharing the creme de la creme with you! This week, I’ve got a gorgeous tutorial, a popular budget drugstore brand haul/demo and a worst-of-2015 products to avoid…

A roundup of the best YouTube makeup videos of the week from Lisa Eldridge, Casey Holmes and Tati/GlamLifeGuru.

Lisa Eldridge is a professional makeup artist who works with celebrities, media, magazines and has an cult following due to her impeccable technique. Her voice is so soothing! She’s recently published this book about the history of makeup and also acts as Lancome’s global creative director.

Casey Holmes has been a favorite of mine for several years. She’s a southern girl who seems to be very no-nonsense and loves her three dogs. She’s not afraid to show off her less-than-perfect skin (she suffers from moderate rosacea) and always has great product recommendations. This video was fun to watch because Wet n Wild has released so many new products; seeing them perform made me want to head straight to my local Walgreens ASAP.

Tati of GlamLifeGuru is a down-to-earth 30something vlogger from California. She does great first impression videos of products as well as, product reviews and tutorials. I really loved this Worst Products video because as great as it is to hear about all the good products to try, it’s equally important to know what didn’t work so well.

Hope you all enjoy these videos as much as me and if you have any recent YouTube favorite videos, comment with the link below and maybe they’ll appear in next week’s edition of best-of!
