Loving Lately is a compilation of items/products that haven’t quite reached ‘favorites’-status yet, but I’ve been thoroughly enjoying. I felt the need to share these six new beauty products because they’ve been proving themselves as effective, innovative and/or just downright pretty! Let’s get to it, shall we?!
I’ve been re-evaluating my skin care routine (more on that later this week), so a few of these products have been helping with that transition but most of them have to do with the complexion. As much as I am obsessed with eye makeup, my favorite ‘makeup transformer’ is always foundation and complexion products. There’s just nothing else like having a flawless complexion! With a perfected face, you need little else in terms of eyes or lips (in my opinion).
I got a sample of this Missha BB Cream in my recent massive sheet mask order from sokoglam.com and instantly fell in love. That same day I tried the sample, I happened to see the full size at my local Target (TARGET!) and it came home with me. I love this because it has medium/buildable coverage, looks exactly like skin, has an amazing SPF, heals blemishes, brightens the skin and softens fine lines. AKA a miracle in a tube.
I LOVE the shade range! If you can’t find a good match in the popular IT Cosmetics CC Cream, then try this one. I need something in between Medium and Tan in IT Cosmetics and the Missha formula in No. 27 Honey Beige is perfection (approx NC30 in MAC).
As a freelance makeup artist for Estee Lauder, I sometimes get gratis new launches to test out and the Revitalizing Supreme Eye Gelee is one of them. To be fully honest, I am NOT a fan of the regular Revitalizing Supreme eye balm/cream but this one is very different. To start, it’s super hydrating which is something very important to me in an eye cream. I also love the hygienic and cooling applicator. This eye gelee brightens dark circles, depuffs, and reduces the look of fine lines. Mostly, I just love it because it’s SO hydrating and my eyes seem smoother in the mornings – TBD on the other claims.
This Heatwave highlighter is a repromote after being discontinued for quite awhile. However, if you are warm-toned or have olive/golden skin, you NEEEEED this highlight. Stalk all Estee Lauder counters if you have to. It’s stunning. I’m obsessed. I thought I really liked the Becca Opal highlighter (which I still do), but this is quickly catching up to Holy Grail status and about to knock my Becca highlighters out of the water – mainly because it lasts all day long. I find my Becca highlighters seem to fade after a few hours, but Heatwave is still present when I wash my face before bed.
I purchased this Pur Foundation Brush on a whim a couple of weeks ago while I was picking up a new concealer for my mom. I own a couple Pur brushes from literally ages ago and they’re awesome, so when I saw this Artis-inspired dupe, I figured, ‘Why not?’ considering the Artis version is $60+. I was worried this brush would be a little too big for my face, but it’s perfect and applies foundation in approximately five seconds. So fast!
This Natura Bisse mask came from a recommendation from a fellow makeup artist who works for Giorgio Armani at my local Neiman Marcus. We were bonding one afternoon on our insanely oily skin and he was rattling off a ton of products I needed to try – this Stabilizing Cleansing Mask being a top one. He instructed me to be very careful not to overuse this mask because it’s NO joke and not for the faint of heart. Using this for 5-15 minutes will alleviate blackheads, dry up all of your breakouts and overall suck all the oils and impurities out of your skin better than ANY clay-based mask I’ve ever used in my entire life. I actually threw away some clay masks because this one is too good. You apply this mask, and leave it on the skin for at least 5 minutes (but absolutely NO more than 20) and then rinse.
This mask has been a Godsend for me because I had a reactionary breakout from a new product I was trying, and within four days, it was dried out and my skin was smooth again.
I’m SO mad this is nowhere to be found online (well, legitimately. I think I saw a few on eBay and Amazon)! It’s amazing. The smoothest, easiest-to-blend blush/bronzer duo I’ve ever used in my life. I love that it’s totally matte, too. Makes the pores appear smaller and just incredibly flattering. Totally curious about more Ciate products, now. Any recommendations?? Let me know.
That wraps up my six new beauty products I’ve been loving lately! I hope you found it helpful or inspiring for you. If you liked it, please share it on social media or send to a friend – I appreciate the love 🙂
