Sephora Sale Recommendations 2023

I can’t even tell you how many blog posts I’ve written about the biannual Sephora sale. It’s crazy. But every time, there’s new favorites I add to my list to recommend. Some recurring all time favorites… but honestly? This time I think it’s ALL new stuff. Except maybe one makeup brush. So I’m excited to share my Sephora sale recommendations 2023 for the sale that starts April 14!

Questions Asked in my Instagram DMs…
  • Tinted moisturizer or lightweight foundations for dry or more mature skin? I’d look at the Saie Beauty Slip Tint with SPF or Rose Inc Serum Foundation (I wear shade 060). Both are cleaner, sheer/light. One has SPF, one doesn’t.
  • Cream Contour or Contour Sticks with cool undertones? The coolest stick I’ve tried is the Westman Atelier in Biscuit (mini size here). It’s a TRUE cool toned, contour stick with a creamy, fuller pigment base (the color on Sephora’s image is NOT accurate just FYI… trust me it’s so cool toned I can barely use it on my olive complexion lol). The Merit sticks (mentioned above) run fairly neutral and can be used as a contour/bronzer hybrid but run more sheer/natural.
  • Rare Beauty or Fenty – worth it or overhyped? Worth it. Almost everything I’ve ever tried from both of these conscious beauty brands has been good. I own more from Rare Beauty, but both of these brands use top quality production facilities for cosmetics and have produced super innovative products. You should have an overall good experience with both brands! 🙂

Sephora Sale Recommendations – Things In My Cart
  • Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo and Conditioner – this is a repurchase for me. Clean haircare is near impossible for me to find that works well. The closest I can recommend is Olaplex and I love it, but switching it up with an old fave from Pureology. The sheer version works better for me. Doesn’t weigh my thicker, heavy hair down as much.
  • Fenty Body Butter Refill – repurchase, this has been my go-to pregnancy body butter.
  • Ellis Brooklyn Iso Gamma Perfume – have had so many mini samples of this clean fragrance.. love it. So light and calming.
  • Saie Glowy Bronze Highlighter – to use as a bronzing makeup base or on it’s own this summer.
  • Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – my best shade match in a foundation ever. I get shade 6. It’s so olive and perfect. I like having this in my collection for special occasions or when I really need my complexion to look totally flawless.

I hope this blog post helps! I tried to keep it simple… my list can go on and on of things I like from Sephora. If you have specific requests for favorite “x, y, z” item, please comment below or shoot me a DM on Instagram at brighterdarling so I can help you out. Just because something isn’t listed here, doesn’t mean I hate it or don’t have a recommendation. Trust me… I’ve tried it all 😉
