Hey friends! Today I’m doing something really fun that I wish I could do more of – a blogger collab with a few of my favorite beauty bloggers. We’ve all put together a fun holiday makeup look for you to learn how to achieve, using all of our unique styles. For me, I decided to do a holiday party glitter makeup look using the new NYX glitter primer and glitter set (perfect for a stocking stuffer). Ready to check out all of the looks and get the details on how I got my glitter eyes?
If you’re a regular reader of Brighter, Darling, you know I whip the glitter out for special occasions.
What better time than the holidays!?
When this adorable set from NYX arrived at my doorstep with three gorgeous glitter shades, I immediately started playing and the purple glitter just SPOKE to me.
You may not think of purple glitter for the holidays, but honestly… why not! It’s a fun jewel tone that should be used more often – especially if you have brown, green or hazel eyes.

It’s important in this look to do your eyes first because glitter inevitably makes a HOT MESS on your face and you don’t want to ruin your foundation.
My favorite trick to ensure the glitter comes off your face after you’ve finished your eyes is to clean it up with a baby wipe or my go-to Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads (NOT the waterproof versions). Then apply your primer and foundation.
