Ever just think if you could blast off a layer of your skin, you’d have softer, smoother, more even-toned skin? Well, you would. And that procedure is called microdermabrasion. It’s perfect for those who struggle with texture, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and minor sunspots. I recently had a chance to get it done professionally at the Ageless Skin and Laser Center in Sewell, NJ (outside of Philadelphia). Ready to see my results after getting microdermabrasion at Ageless Skin and Laser Center NJ?
Dr. Danielle Brenza is the beauty and brains behind Ageless Skin and Laser Center. She’s a woman for women and knows how to make a client feel welcome and comfortable to ask questions/get solutions for all cosmosurgical needs.
With over 12 years of experience, she’s been awarded “Best Doctor For Women” and been a recipient of Best of South Jersey for consecutive years.
From facials to Cool Sculpting, microdermabrasion to Botox/fillers and even lash extensions to vaginal rejuvenation, Ageless Skin and Laser Center is a one-stop-shop to give yourself a little makeover.
In addition to the services offered, Ageless Skin and Laser Center offers top medical grade skin care products like Obagi (a previous favorite of mine… still is, just haven’t used in years), Skin Medica and Latisse.
Dr. Brenza’s other staff are also highly trained professionals with many years of experience. My aesthetician, Barbara, was not only stunningly beautiful but incredibly down to earth and made me feel my best.
If you’ve never experienced microdermabrasion in a professional setting, it’s quite quick, entirely painless, and you’ll notice instant results.
You’ll start by laying down on a bed, similar to a massage bed like you’re getting a facial.
Your aesthetician will give your skin a gentle, yet deep cleaning.
She’ll use a diamond tip (although some locations use a crystal tip) tool that gently – yet powerfully – buff away a layer of your skin. This sounds painful or scary, but it’s not. Imagine a MICROFINE exfoliating scrub. It’s kind of like that.
The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes. After that, your aesthetician will apply some serums and a good moisturizing SPF and you’re all done!
Some people prefer to apply a bit of mineral makeup but honestly, I have hypersensitive skin and you can leave without makeup – no insane redness visible at all!
see? no downtime needed.
For the next few days, you’ll notice your skin feels as soft as a baby’s butt.
Makeup will look flawless and your skin care products absorb so much better.
It’s very important you keep your skin SUPER hydrated at least 48 hours after microdermabrasion. This isn’t necessarily doctor’s orders, but I just like to be extra coddling to my skin after any treatment.
SPF is also a requirement during the day.
reception desk staff – so helpful!
When I was in college, I struggled really badly with acne scarring. I would get microdermabrasion treatments every 6-8 weeks to help fade acne scarring quicker.
Now, in my early 30s, I like to do it more to soften fine lines.
I would recommend scheduling a facial and microdermabrasion 3-4 times a year to keep your skin looking youthful and glowing if you’re apprehensive about invasive procedures like Botox, fillers, etc.
If you live in the South Jersey area, I would definitely recommend checking out Ageless Skin and Laser Center in Sewell.
The location is so pretty, the staff is very informative without being pushy or over-treating, and I simply had a wonderful experience!
