February 2017 Beauty Favorites

Crazily enough, tomorrow is March. What in the hell. I know February is a short month, but March (to me) sounds like spring and then comes summer… yay! My February 2017 beauty favorites cover the gamut of beauty – eyes, lips, face, and skin care. In fact, I especially love it when a couple of my goodies are from the drugstore (and I’m sure you are, as well). Let’s get down to what six items have had a special place in my heart lately…

February 2017 Beauty Favorites | Glossier Super Bounce, L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup, Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencil in Nude, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre in Sweet Sinner, Georgie Lashes in La Cherie, Georgie Lash Adhesive

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup | $7-10

DUPE ALERT: This is 100% a *better* version of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation! I picked up L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup a couple of months ago when I wanted to really delve more into drugstore products, and I am SO thankful I did. It’s so blendable, great medium/buildable coverage that lies on the skin beautifully and looks as natural as a medium-coverage foundation can on the skin. It’s blown my mind and I’ve used it more than all of my high-end foundations for nearly two months now.

Glossier Super Bounce Serum | $28+

I’m going to be talking about a new skin care regimen I’ve been using soon, but in the meantime, I’ve been having a love affair with Hyaluronic Acid and how it plumps the skin and hydrates without being greasy. As someone with chronically dehydrated skin, I’ve gotten tired of trying to slather it in oils. My skin doesn’t need OILS… it needs WATER. Hyaluronic Acid binds water to the skin, essentially. When I use Super Bounce before bed, it actually makes my skin look and feel softer and soothed in the morning.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Lip Pencil | $24

I reviewed and talked about this Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencil (and the following lipstick) here, and I’ve clearly continued to love them. This lip pencil is a crazy underrated formula. I will admit, the shade selection is a bit abysmal but the formula is amazing – it’s up there with the extremely long wearing Make Up For Ever liners, Urban Decay liners or Charlotte Tilbury liners (all my longest lasting formulas). This is the perfect not-too-nude peachy pink lip liner and I adore it.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre Lipstick, Sweet Sinner | $32

The Estee Lauder lipsticks are also a formula not praised enough in the beauty community. With the expansion of the Hi-Lustre lip color line, there are a lot of beautiful, on-trend nude shades in various pink, peach, and beige colors. Next time you’re near an Estee Lauder counter, ask to see their new Hi-Lustres (I’ve only seen them in my local Neiman Marcus and select Macy’s so far… maybe Nordstrom). I love the subtle shimmer/sheen of the shade Sweet Sinner because it makes my lips appear fuller.

Georgie Beauty Lash Adhesive, Black* | $8

I was very kindly sent this Georgie lash adhesive with a couple of their false lashes and I had low expectations – not going to lie. Their lashes really blew me away – I did not need to trim them at all and they were SO lightweight! My favorite pair is the La Cherie – extremely natural. But the lash adhesive worked incredibly well. I also love black adhesive because it blends in with your eyeliner and lash line easier. I’m someone very picky with lash glue (HATE duo), so trust that my adoration for this glue is legit.

Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner, Ultra Black | $8-12

Another gem on my hunt for great drugstore makeup, the Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner in ULTRA BLACK (only), is a great dupe for the Kat Von D Trooper eyeliner. It has the same fine brush tip (not felt) and makes applying liquid eyeliner and/or a wing very easy. It’s not the blackest liquid liner I’ve tried – even in Ultra Black – but if you layer it twice, it’s good to go and a great price point.

What’s been on your radar lately… anything I should try? Let me know in the comments and tell me if you’ve tried any of my favorites!
