Recently, I got to attend the launch party for the new BareMinerals BarePro concealer, Gen Nude Blushes and Gen Nude Lip Lacquers in New York. Lucky for us, they sent us home with our perfect shade to test on our own. I figured since many of us started dabbling in higher-end makeup using the OG BareMinerals, it would be fun to see how the brand has grown up and test a bunch of their new releases on camera.
A 16-hr wear, full coverage concealer with water-resistant properties, this new release comes in 15 shades from very fair to deep neutral tones.
It has a soft-matte finish that promises to improve skin tone over time and is ideal for covering blemishes.
The formula also includes some antioxidants to protect your skin – just like most of BareMinerals products – so overall, it’s a great addition to their collection and one that was released in perfect timing with spring/summer coming.
I totally agree this concealer is best used for discolorations or blemishes on the skin. I didn’t love it under my eyes because it does have a slightly drier texture (helps with longevity). But my skin has been a bit drier these days, so it may work really well all over if you’re more oily.
As for the new blushes and lip lacquers, these are knockouts! I have nothing negative to say about these two new collections.
Both collections feature nude/neutral tones of blush and high pigment glosses to flatter everyone’s skin tone.
The blushes are super blendable and buildable, and the glosses are long wearing and a flattering, full pigment.
Enough about the details, let’s get to the application!
What did you think of the application and final look? Will you be trying any of the new BareMinerals releases?
I think I want to get a couple more of the Gen Nude Lip Lacquers. Just have to get myself into a Sephora or Ulta to see the other colors in person.
