The spring beauty event at Sephora is coming APRIL 18-24, 2017 for VIB Rouge, so get your shopping carts ready! I’ve rounded up a solid list of 10 things you need from the April 2017 Sephora Sale and it covers the gamut – face, lips, eyes, hair, and skin.
From a practicality standpoint, this sale is a great time to stock up on repurchases – face cleansers, moisturizers, brow products or even foundations. Depending on your Sephora rewards program level (BI, VIB, VIB Rouge) you can get 10-20% off your entire purchase (subject to change each year, but this is the range it’s been in the past). THIS YEAR, it seems to be 15% off for VIB Rouges (no word on VIBs or BIs yet).
From a makeup lover’s standpoint, this sale is a perfect time to try some products you’ve been lusting after at a discount.
Sephora holds two sales per year – one in November and this one in April. November’s tends to be a higher percentage-off goods, but hey, any money off makeup is helpful.
This image directly below is entirely shoppable if you’re viewing on your phone or computer. Just click on the product and it should take you directly to the item. For those who are having a hard time getting it to work, I’ve linked it all below, as well.
You know how much I raved about the Koh Gen Do Spa Moisture Gel (post here), so I HAD to recommend it during the sale. Amazing for normal to oily skin as a night moisturizer, the ability to plump the skin and provide (what feels like) a huge glass of water to the face is incredible.
The Estee Lauder Micro Cleansing Balm is a balm-to-oil makeup remover and cleanser. I love this for its portability – great for travel because it’s solid! I also love how it breaks down makeup (even stubborn mascara) with just a dime sized amount. It’s advertised as a makeup remover, cleanser, and toner all in one but I use it as a makeup remover only.
I’ve mentioned the pricey Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream throughout this blog several times. It’s my Holy Grail eye cream. Stays put, extremely hydrating, lasts forever, and seems to plump the skin around the eyes and diminish my dark circles. This is a great time to pick this up on sale.
Boscia’s Blotting Linens are an unsung hero at Sephora. For just $10 for 100 sheets, it’s an incredible steal. I love that these soak up excess shine without disturbing my makeup and don’t seem to irritate my sassy skin like some sheets do (I know, weird). I always pick up a few of these during the sale because… why not!? I’m an oily mess.
One of my most popular posts recently, How I Grew In My Brows, shared all about how much I love Benefit’s brow products. This would be a perfect time to pick up Precisely My Brow Pencil and try it out.
I’ve had my eye on this Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk for months. When I tried it in stores, it was the perfect my-lips-but-better rose mauve, every day shade and wore for quite a while before I would have needed a touch up.
As an oily lady, I need a great eye primer and two I always go back to are the MAC Paintpot in Soft Ochre and the NARS primer. The NARS primer works just a hair better than MAC (in my opinion), so it’s worth it if you find your eyeshadows fade, crease or just don’t apply well.
I am a lover of long-lasting, medium-to-full coverage foundations that don’t look like a total mask. I picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation a few months ago and love the tube packaging, the extensive shade range (although I do wish they made some deeper shades), and how long-wearing it is without clogging my pores after several days of wear.
If you haven’t picked up a higher end, neutral eyeshadow palette (or have, but don’t love it), try the Tartelette in Bloom. It’s got three rows of 12 neutral shadows (one leaning cool, one neutral, one warm) and a wonderful variety of matte, satin, and shimmer shades. I love my Urban Decay NAKED1 palette, but this one is much more versatile because of the matte shadows (…and the great mirror – perfect for travel).
Hope this gave you some inspiration! Share on social media or with a friend if you found it helpful. Let me know what you’re thinking of picking up from the sale.
Happy Shopping,
-Steffanie
